Drover is in development. The useful promise is specific: a native iPhone surface for coding-agent work that is already running through Herdr on your own Mac or Linux host.

At launch, Drover can

  • Pair an iPhone with a per-user droverd daemon on your host.
  • Show the Herdr Host → Session → Workspace → Tab → Pane hierarchy.
  • Attach to an exact live pane and render its terminal on iPhone.
  • Observe documented Claude Code and Codex hook activity where supported.
  • Carry supported input over an authenticated live connection.
  • Use a direct off-network path, with encrypted relay fallback where the network requires it.

Drover deliberately cannot

  • Bundle, install, or replace Herdr.
  • Upload your repository or proxy engine credentials.
  • Infer state or permission from terminal text.
  • Queue commands while offline or replay an uncertain action.
  • Offer native approval cards at launch; approval relay is a later phase.
  • Claim that a beta download is available before signed builds are published.

How to read the roadmap

“In development” means the implementation is being built and verified. It is not a promise that a capability is available today. The installation guide explains the current beta status, while support answers common compatibility and pairing questions.
